Alucard was alerted by a sound outside the basement room he was currently in. He grinned at the prospect of it being his Master. Slowly he moved to the door and opened it suddenly, intent on scaring whoever was there.
He bared his fangs and put his most frieghtening face on. He did hear a scream but it was too high pitched for his Master's voice. He looked down, spotting a small girl with maroon pigtails. She was shivering, either from the cold of the basement or from the hitched sob that came from her throat.
He relaxed and knelt down next to the girl and placed a hand on her back. She broke down then and started to cry, launching herself at Alucard and latching onto his jacket front. He was surprised and didn't bother to hide the fact. He looked down at the sobbing girl and noticed that she wasn't touching the ground. He wrapped his arms around her back and stood up.
She stopped crying and clutched his waist with her legs, positive that he'd drop her.
"Don't fear me, girl. It's my Master that has that privilege." Alucard said softly. Then he started walking from the basement to find Walter.
---------------------------
"Sir Integra, are you busy?" Walter asked, stepping into Lord Hellsing's office.
"No, Walter. What is it?" Integra asked, looking up from something under her desk.
"Alucard has just found something in the basement that you might want to see."
    "Is it dangerous?"
    "We don't know, Ma'am."
"Alright. Where is it?" Integra asked putting -something- into a drawer and getting up.
    "This way."
---------------------------
"Come on, girl. Tell me your name." Alucard coaxed, readjusting the girl on his lap. The two sat in the long boardroom, waiting for Walter to return.
The girl shook her head and Alucrad grabbed her chin. She looked up at him with red-rimmed eyes. Her bottom lip started to quiver and he petted the back of her head with his free hand.
The double doors suddenly opened, causing the girl to fidget again.
"You mean to tell me, that you found a girl in the basement, Alucard?" Integra asked as she got closer to the pair.
The girl hopped from Alucard's lap and ran to Integra's approching form.
"Sir Integra Wingates Hellsing! I knew it had to be you!"
"You know me?" Integra asked, bewildered.
"Oh, bunches." The girl said, thrusting her chest out importantly. She heard someone clear thier throat. Then she remembered her small tanktop.
"Bloody thing. Sorry. I forgot I had the flag."
"And you could forget this how?" Integra asked, scowling.
"I don't know. Stop yelling at me." The girl said, falling to her knees and started to cry.
"Stand up. I'm not yelling at you."
"Yes you are." The girl cried, standing up.
"Now. What is your name?" Alucard asked in a coaxing voice.
Walter and Integra formed a barrier around the girl so she wouldn't flee.
"I'm Paro-kat! I like mayonnaise, random phrases, and the color purple." She said, grinning at thier confused looks.
"What? I'm American. What do you want from me?" Paro said. A dawning look passed over everyone's face.
"What are you doing here? How did you get in?" Integra asked. Paro could practically feel a spotlight on her.
Weeeeeell. When a man and a woman reeeeeeally love each other-"
    "Answer the question!"
I don't know how or why I'm here."
    "Who are you working for?"
    "My Master...."
    "And who is you're Master?"
    "I don't remember."
"Bloody liar!" Integra shouted, causing Paro to shrink in fear.
"If I tell you, can you take me somewhere?" Paro asked, a grin slowly forming on her lips.
"Perhaps. Tell us who you work for." Paro suddenly bowed, tucking her head down. She lifted her head slightly to look at Integra through her bangs.
"I work for you, Master." her grin widened and she had a malicious look on her face.
Integra drew back in surprise and glared at Alucard.
"Did you teach her that?" Alucard shook his head.
"Well, this is awkward." Walter said.
"Of course! I'm the Goddess of Confusion!" Paro exclaimed, standing from her bow, "can we go now?"
